Meet local artist, visit downtown stores, have a night of shopping, network in your community, display your art, sing, rap, read poetry, display body art, share your style, get inspired, share techniques, demo your work, volunteer, and have fun! Next Art Hop July 21, 2012 5-9pm, registration deadline is 30 days before the Art Hop. Artists in order to participate you have to upload images of your artwork, if you don't have your images uploaded you can not participate. No vendors, tables outside, passing flyers and soliciting during the Art Hop.

| Artist Statement | I am a part of all that I have met. ~Alfred Lord Tennyson To label “what I do” would be to put myself in a box, a shubox maybe- ok that was cheesy. I’m an artist, writer, director, musician – in no particular order. My wife Liz, son Cavin and I call California home, yet we have left huge chunks of our Pu’uwai in Hawaii where we lived and served as school teachers and church planters (Elevate Church) for three years- A hui hou. I graduated from California Baptist University in Southern California with a bachelor of fine arts degree in 1999, with emphases in visual and performing arts. My work has showed in Colorado, Hawaii and California. I maintained a permanent presence in Hawaii at the prestigious Chase & Hanes gallery until they were forced to close their doors in 2009 due to the economy. We returned to the mainland in 2007 to be closer to family. I felt called to ministry, but not the traditional kind- something more artsy. I was cool with that- like I had a choice. I became the director of production arts at Yosemite Church in Merced as of January 2008. I grew up all over California with brief moments in Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Belarus and of course, Hawaii. I am the owner of ShuCreative Designs, a creative outfit.
